Lightbulb Is there much cash-in-hand work in Tenerife?

Heyy... Me again...

I was wondering if Tenerife offered many cash-in-hand jobs in the bars or PR'ing at restaurants, or promotional work... As in the UK I could vary my work doing jobs like that and stopped me from getting bored... or do most establishments offer a firm contract????

Thanks again for all helpful advice, massive help...

Ouch! Prejudging are we?

I don't know 'Pippa' and I would agree that "cash in hand" means no NI and taxes (not that there is usually enough to pay them with), but can see nothing to suggest she has been "claiming benefits".

What I read is a person willing to work, accepts there are no guarantees and accepts that she has to pay her way here. Why the negative comment?

Best of luck Pippa!

Well said. Pippa is new to the Forum. Let's not jump to conclusions or down her throat so early on

Haha, Ouuccchhh, looks like I hit a sore point...

I can assure you I am not trying to avoid paying taxes or are currently claiming any sort of benefits, I only asked a simple question...

& thanks to the rest of you which offered a kind response...

I do a lot of cash-in-hand work in the UK along with my current job and I find the variety refreshing... Anyway there's no need to explain myself...

Thanks again for the advice from the other members,
Reguards,
Pip x

Cash in Hand

At least cash in hand gives you money on the day, rather than working a month to find out the company has spent your wages!

A guy know in Yorkshire has all his wages changed to £1 coins and keep them in a chest under his bed.............yes and he counts it all every night.

I bet more than a handful It is not easy to get contracted work in Tenerife, sometimes one works cash in hand just to pay the bills
