Advice needed about the legalities of setting up a business in a local in Tenerife

Hello,
Is there anyone out there who has knowledge of the law on locales? I have been told that I need to draw up plans for the locale that I am in to make sure that I can operate my business legally from it....gulp!

I am above a garage that has a seperate entrance to the garage offices where I also rent my seperate office. I have a seperate inside entrance into my office. We share the loos etc with the garage admin staff...is this a problem?

Does anyone know anyone who can advise on things like this?

The rules and requirements for each type of business are different. You will need to apply for an Opening Licence which means you will almost certainly need a "Project" unless a very similar type of business was operating there before.

Your best course of action is to find a good Gestor, who can guide you through the minefield of Spanish bureaucracy. He will also help you with setting up your tax and social security affairs.

I'm sure if you search this forum you will find reccomendations. There are members here with a wealth of experience in everything Tenerife.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.
