Hi Firstly, great forum with loads of advise and information - I can see me spending alot of time on here!
Can anyone advise if web site designers would make a living in Tenerife. I am currently studying in the UK and was wondering if it would be of any use to earn a living once we move out to South Tenerife. I have had a look on the internet and not come across loads of them - Is this a good sign?
Also my husband runs his own Chauffuer and Limousine company in the UK - Do you think there is a market for it or is this something the taxi/private hire services would frown on?

There are loads of web designers!... whether all of us are any good, is a different question. It will all depend on how good you are, however it will also take you time to build up a client base and referrals.
I've been designing websites for 15 years, 8 of which in Tenerife. I don't advertise and I have more than enough work, however in order to pay your tax you will need to have the clients from the offset.
I would think that you would have to get another job and do websites on the side.
With regards to driving, there are probably legalities and licenses involved with this, so other forum members will better advise.
Welcome to the Tenerife Forum!!!

Dont know if rules are the same in Tenerife as Gran canaria but in Gran Canaria you need 10 or more vehicles to get a licence to carry passengers (some say 3 vehicles and so the amount is very vague but enough to prevent alot of people trying) The vehicles have to be new and have to have an ITV (MOT) every 3 months. Some people get around it by attaching themselves to one hotel and being the hotel driver for the 5 star clients
