What qualifications are needed for mechanics in Tenerife?

hi everyone we are looking to move to one of the canary islands soon, our son is doing a mechanics course at college, and we would like to know what qualifactions are reconised over there, or would he be better off at starting up as a mobile mechanic straight away

I am a retired technical instructor in Plant Mechanics and motor engineering living in Tenerife. As far as I know the qualification accepted in several hundred countries worldwide is the NVQ. Level 2 minimum or Level 3 if possible. As for starting up straight away it would depend on age and more importantly experience. I am still learning even now!
