Question Is the unemployment office in Los Cristianos, Tenerife still open?

Does anyone know whether the unemployment office next to the post office in Los Christianos is closed and moved to Granadilla or is it still open for certain things?

It won't have moved to Granadilla.

I haven't been past recently, but it is August - it could be closed for holidays

The office is still there, however some of the services have changed.

They no longer stamp your work contract there anymore this has got to be done in Granadilla.

There are notices on the door about this.

My office is based in the north, I live in the south, my contract has been approved by the companies solicitor and I have to take every new contract that I have into the office to be input on the computer in the south to confirm that I still work for my company and that way, the south can take the employer contibutions for unemployment and medical expenses for me, I also have to sign the contract infront of the staff in the office.

This is the way it has always been for me and the other employees that live in the south.

Strange but true.

ah get you know you work for a company which uses a different social office in the north but you need your contributions moved/paid in you municipality.

got you.

the thing is that you can request your contributions to be paid by your employer directly to your municipality office through the red system and virtual office.

anyways thanks for that.
