Just thought I'd give it a go posting here before I commit myself to a brand new one on finance!!!

I need :
Diesel engine. A 1.4 or 1.9 with 100+ Horse Power, if poss, to manage the hills.
At least 5 seats & 5 doors.
Reasonable boot space.
Not too long, as I would like it to be easy enough to find a parking space in LA/LC.
Those lateral bars on the roof that you can use as a roof rack would also be preferable.
A stereo I can plug my MP3 player into... so either a USB or mini-jack input would be good... or bluetooth, however I could always buy one of these separately myself if need be, as long as any vehicle suits my other needs.
Not older than 2000 and preferably with a decent/low mileage.
Reliable!!!
An MPV-type would be good.
If there are any mechanics on the forum (calling Ashro & Kev!) that have seen something along these lines on their travels at a good price, or if anyone is selling one privately, send me a PM and I'll have a look

What about the Opel garage Kirsty? They do the Meriva and Zafira both seem to tick all the boxes!!??

Yes I noticed that, I suppose the prices fluctuate and they do different offers but you would think they would have the basic prices on the website!! I will have a wee check for you! The Meriva (5 seat) is the cheaper of the two starting at 10,775 sterling and the Zafira (7 seat) starting at 12,995! I saw this on the what car website, its pretty good for reviews etc! The Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (7 seat) is voted best all round MPV and its priced at 14,995! Hope this helps you Kirsty!!

It helps a little, however the price in €'s often differs greatly from the UK price. At least I will be able to compare it to UK prices of other vehicles and maybe pop into the showroom on monday
