Re: Exclusive VPN Service for Tenerife Forum members!

After long thought and a lot of work, I’m proud to finally offer the first ever IAPS branded VPN dialer programs. These programs can be tailor made to your operating system, whether you prefer 32 or 64 bit versions, or whether you’d like the PPTP or L2TP versions. It doesn’t matter whether you use Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or 7. Sorry Mac users, I could not accomodate you guys in this launch

These programs take 100% of the manual setup process and make it automatic! Never again will you have to perform a manual vpn setup. IAPS has taken all the guesswork out of the manual setup process and have applied all the correct security settings and maximum performance in our line of vpn dialers.

Once you have installed the IAPS VPN Dialer, all thats needed is your user name and password. That’s it! There’s nothing more to it! For those of you that have multiple accounts in different countries, IAPS can create a custom made dialer for you that includes all your accounts and all assigned servers in one single program. Its as easy as pie and requires literally nothing from you except your assigned username and password!

If you are a current IAPS or TF client and have at least 1 active account on any of our servers, you can request via email a copy of the program. In your emailed request, you must include the following information:

1.) Your registered email account that IAPS or TF has on file from your latest order.

2.) Your current server name or ip address / username / password (either its common name or its ip address)

3.) Your preferred connection type. Either PPTP or L2TP.

4.) What version of Windows operating system you have (so we know which version to send you)

It is my sincere hope that automated setups provide a much better and easier experience for all IAPS clients.

(Keep in mind I did not say send me a private message. I am not on the board here every day, so its important that you follow the instructions I have provided above to the exact letter. Use the IAPS secured contact page that is linked above and send in the required information and we will send instructions as to where these downloads can be obtained from.)

One of the IAPS support techs I sent on a research mission came across this today:

In the UK, the PS3 and Wii boast BBC iPlayer functionality, a very useful little enhancement that has proven to be a popular addition to the system's list of talents. The iPlayer gives users access to the previous week's worth of BBC television and radio shows, making it a valuable tool for British telly fans. The Xbox 360 cannot boast of such a tool, and unless it changes its Xbox Live policies, it never will.

The deal is this: Since the BBC already forces people to pay a TV license fee, it cannot ask people to pay for any of its services. Because Microsoft is greedy and stupid, it wants the iPlayer to only be available to Xbox Live Gold users. To the BBC, this is like asking people to pay for it. Hence, the iPlayer is currently boycotting the Xbox 360.

"Microsoft only wants to offer its users access to platforms it can charge for as this is the model it is pursuing. "This does not fit with the BBC's model and Microsoft will not budge at the moment. It is really frustrating for those involved on the BBC side who want to make sure iPlayer is rolled out on as many popular entertainment platforms as possible."

Can anyone help me. I purchased the VPN yesterday, Kirsty sent me the details and I did what it said, but when it came to connecting it wouldn't. It came up with a box saying that it couldn't connect did I want to 'try again', 'diagnose the problem', 'try a different connection'.

I am running it on the Vista Windows, I sent an email to the email address given on the information but the email was returned to me as Mail Delivery System could not be delivered .
    Thanks
    Lynn

IAPS is a member on here too. Send him a PM with the teamviewer details, as per the support instruction and I will skype him to tell him to come on and reply.

Alternatively, his profile has a list of other messengers you can use to contact him too.

I've never had a humble opinion. If you've got an opinion, why be humble about it?

Wont hear from you again then ...

But this service is fantastic, never have any streaming problems, its not IAPS fault, have a word with your IP supplier, they are the ones who supply you with your bandwidth not IAPS, check your speed on speedtest.net, or maybe your computor is not as fast as you would like it to be....
Well the info is here should you ever pop back to look

Sky is more expensive and you dont get no where near as many channels.... via IAPS service.
If it don´t hurt you ain´t trying.. If it did hurt well done!

Re: Exclusive VPN Service for Tenerife Forum members!

I used VPN for a month over Christmas when I was in Tenerife and it was fantastic. I connected the laptop to the tv with an hdmi lead - it was far better than the box I had been renting previously which picked up a signal from La Gomera and kept disconnecting 10 minutes from the end of something I had been watching for an hour.

Re: Exclusive VPN Service for Tenerife Forum members!

    Folks,

Well, after being in Luxembourg since the beginning of time the IAPS site is finally moving to a new home in Switzerland. This move is to primarily address the incoming emails that are continually bounced back to the sender. This should resolve that issue. We will also be implementing the domain keys system for all email to include a digitally encrypted signature in the header of all official outgoing email from IAPS. This should ensure delivery of our emails to your inbox on time. We will also be implementing email verification systems that will require the sender of any email to IAPS to verify their email address before our system will accept email from them. This is being implemented to cut down on the huge amount of spam we receive on a daily basis and to stop malicious users from trying to email viruses to us. Under the new system, there will be virus and malware scanners that sit at the entrance way to our email system that will virus scan all incoming emails and check for reverse dns names for all senders. If an email contains a virus or does not have a reverse dns hostname that matches the sending domain, the email will be rejected. This should stop 99.9% of spammers that try to bombard us with spam mail.

The store and forum databases may become a day behind in the data that they hold because of this transition. But once everything propagates then business will resume as normal. Keep in mind that once we start the transition, the IAPS site may become unreachable for up to 24 hours while internet service providers update their dns servers to reflect our new home. Do not panic if you are trying to reach our site during this period and you find that you cannot. Once your local isp resolves our new home, then it will become accessible to you again.
