Tie down ya sunbeds and lock up your cats there is a big storm heading this way. I reckon it will hit sometime Tuesday. We are currently here in the Canaries on a 'state of alert' and loking at the satellite pics. they forecast looks to be right. I am not saying this will be like Tropical Storm Delta but it does look a big one. Look at the satellite pic. the storm is coming from the west. http://www.inm.es/web/infmet/satel/seurop.html Just found this link. This looks bad!!! http://www.intellicast.com/IcastPage...p&prodnav=none __________________ Support your local team in Tenerife! There were flash floods and landslides blocking the roads one resort was cut off by road with a 10 foot high rock fall. That rock fall was my path up a hill for my morning run. I still managed to do the run but I noticed all the water pipes were now exposed. Hope its not too bad for you all. Will be back out in Tenerife in December. | | | 31st October 2006, 10:37 | #6 (permalink) | | Adonis Pie Man Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: A diet club, Im being force fed cakes. Hope it doesn't cause much damage. We do have wonderful all year round weather here in Tenerife, but when it rains it rains and they don't seem to be able to cope with it over here. People book their holidays hoping for wonderful weather this time of year, but we are now into our rainy season. Also they never slow down with their driving when it's bad, which is the cause of loads of accidents. We will have to start looking for the snow on Teide soon, usually around November-December. It looks really spectacular! | | | 31st October 2006, 14:32 | #8 (permalink) | | Adonis Pie Man Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: A diet club, Im being force fed cakes. It’s not a tropical storm or a hurricane, just torrential rain and high winds…..It will be with us soon… __________________ Do you need anything translating into Spanish? Still due for 'some' rain but nothing much. Treble 99, I don't suppose that the radio you heard was 'Oasis'? I could not believe that Radio Oasis said that people in Santa Cruz have been told to stay indoors. The alert is for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (La Palma,La Gomera, El Hierro and the WHOLE of Tenerife) __________________ Support your local team in Tenerife!
