re: Weather as it happens in Tenerife, reported by forum members : February 2010
I know I give regular weather reports from Las Chafiras but today can only be described with one word, which is pointless writing as the block thing will star it out.

Apparently we are on Orange Alert!!!! It is hammering it down off and on in Callao Salvaje.
I did not send my eldest to wait for the bus the weather is so bad. I am just not going to risk driving either of them to school. Only to find half the Teachers not been able to make it. Did drive when it was like this two January's ago. Scared the hell out of me.
Best plan is to stay in if you can. Hubby got to risk it to go to work soon. (Like many others). Please please all of you out there drive very carefully and stay safe.

just ventured out to mercadona in adeje........there,s water coming off the hills and streaming across the road at various points on the drive down ...
just before the tijoco cross turn-off coming back from town, there,s a resevoir that for most of the last 3 months or so has been bone dry ...it is now overflowing the retaining wall which must be at least 25 feet high, never seen it like this before ...trees had grown in it which now are covered with water except for the top twigs ....
take care on the tf1 cos the nose to tail merchants are at it ........
