Weather is lovely at Christmas but expect to pay about double for flights and accommodation.

Speaking to a tenerifian taxi driver taking us back to the airport last trip out and he said that he refuses to work on New Years Eve. Even though he can make a fortune he said he is fed up with drunken ex pats and holiday makers being lary , drunk, sick and agressive in his taxi.....................would be no good for most Sat nights in Exeter then .

Question What's the weather like at Christmas around Las Americas in Tenerife?

What is the weather like in las americas at christmas. Do I need to bring any warm clothing or is it still pretty hot.?

Is there a lot going off at christmas and new year?

After the departing 747, line up and wait runway 08. Caution: VORTEX WAKE - recommended spacing 4 miles.

I suggest you bring a jacket for the nights just incase, as it can get a little cold for us residents here. You shouldn't have any problems in the day time, with it being hot.

Good question about is there a lot going off at Christmas and New Year, I'm sure i'm not the only one in saying this, but i hope so!

Re: What's the weather like at Christmas around Las Americas in Tenerife?

We've been going out every Xmas and New Year for nearly 20 years. Last year was nice but had a few days rain (when it rains, it rains) within a few minutes even my bra and knickers were soaking.

The year before it was beautiful every day, blue skies and between 25 and 30 degrees every day and about 19 degrees at night.

It is the perfect temperature for us but you have to be prepared in case it get a bit chilly at night, especially if it's windy at the front.

Hopefully it will be busy this year as it was a lot quieter last year.

We were out there last Christmas and had a little rain on odd days! But it is still warm! mid 20's during the day and drops a little at night! Had a blanket on over the summer duvet last year. Out again from 15th so am hoping it will be better this year! Hope you have a great time, would pack a jumper or cardy!

Are you serious about "anything going at Christmas" Tenerife is a holiday island and things are "going on" all year. We spend most Christmas's and New Year in Tenerife, the weather is always warm. still warm enough for shorts at night.
