Whats the national speed limit here

whatever you want it to be nobody seems to take any notice of the speed limits here.....hence so many accidents

I think you will find the national Spanish Speed limits are:

Motorway 120 km/h
Open Road 90-100 km/h
Town 50 km/h

Sadly, rarely observed in Tenerife

And the ones no one ever, ever follows - those around roadworks

I remember a taxi ride from the North airport just after the TF1 roadworks started ... as the taxi was doing 130 where 80 was posted, someone else was overtaking us

Then the other extreme is where you get people doing 50-60km/h on the TF1
