coming out again in sept ,doing things abit different this time not doing a package though to expensive so far flights are booked,came across this web site called tenerife taxi transfer was thinking of pre booking a taxi with them. has anyone used them,or would it be just as easy to get one when i arrive.

Just as easy getting a taxi although sometimes you can have a bit of a wait. I always ask the taxi driver how much before getting in because the price often differs a lot!!

I have just googled Tenerife Taxi Services - they are fully legal and seem to have an offical link with the main airport taxi firms - a fee to Los Gigantes is given as 45 pounds. That seems reasonable.

I would guess the proper taxi fare is around 35/40 euros

Tenerife taxi transfers are the only british company who have a contract with all the taxi drivers. I.e adeje and granadilla and so on. They work with the taxi drivers, not against them and assist tourists so they dont get ripped off by rogue companies

Tenerife Taxi Transfer is the only company on the island that has contracts with all the island taxi organisations.

We offer prebooked taxi transfers to and from the airport on behalf of the taxi companies. Every customer that lands at Tenerife South Airport is met by one of our representatives and escorted to the first available taxi regardless of the lenght of the queue.

We advertise the use of taxi's and supply taxi transfers, unlike other companies that I wont mention.

There are various companies that offer taxi services and dont deliver what is offered or advertised and then there are others who simply just tout for business.

If you get into a vehicle that does not have SP plates or you are touted at the airport or in resort you run the risk of being stopped by the police and the possibility of having the vehicle impounded and being left by the roadside. In the event of an accident your holiday insurance is invalidated.

The police have stepped up their efforts to assist in the prevention of illegal transportation and at the airport they are not only stopping all types of vehicles leaving the airport, but are also stopping vehicles entering the airport.
