What paperwork do I need to get airline or travel discount in Tenerife?
Sorry for being thick have seen it somewhere on Forum. What is the name of the paper needed for residents discount on travel.I know you can get this at the Cultural Centre but do i need my residencia to obtain it or just my empadriemento, prob spelt that wrong!!
I can't remember what they are called. I have one at home and can let you know tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it. When I went I asked for a certificado de viaje, they understood what I was asking for. You will require you NIE certificate and a photo copy if you are already registered at the council. If not then NIE, passport and escritura or rental contract and copies.

We've used our residencia when travelling previously.

I have previously used just my residencia too. But that has now expired and I don't know if the new cerficado de registro will suffice for the discount. For the sake of 1.80 euros I got the certificate from the council.
Hang on to it though ... it is still the preferred form of ID (even if it has expired)
Oh Mike I do intend to. I can't really imagine for the life of me that anyone is going to examine it that closely. But if they do I can use it has back up with my plastified certificado de registro. You do need a big handbag to carry them around in you know
