Smile What's the best way to get to my Hotel in Tenerife from the airport on Sunday?

The Welsh rain is finally "getting to me!"And if it hasn't been sold then i'm hoping to buy my ticket which means i arrive in Tenerife Sunday at approx 7pm.
I still don't know where i'm staying, the choices at the moment are hotel El Refugio, somewhere near a place(4km's away) called IFONCHE,Remember i've never been to Tenerife before!Or Hotel playa sur tenerife,in MEDANO.I don't even know if they have rooms! So i'm arriving at 7 on my own,how do i get to my chosen bed for the night?
Should i rent a car?(i was hoping, maybe to hire a motorbike as i thought it might be cheaper,) but i doubt if they can be hired from the airport !If i chose to rent a car ,should i do it in advance,or when i arrive?

Dont even think about a bike, its cheaper to hire a car, we always booked in advance and dont rush to pick up the keys that way if for some reason they cant supply the model you ordered they have to upgrade you.
Make sure you book with one that have the cars at the airport and not half way up Tiede Good luck,

If he picks up the car half way up Tiede then he will be halfway to Ifonche.

Taxi to El Medano would be my choice if it were available.

If you are coming to El Medano, a taxi is not too much as its not far from the airport. The hotel is very nice and reasonably priced, and obviously I think El Medano is great, but then I do live there!!!!!

If you come to Medano try the Medano hotel Or the Carel contact Esther at the tourist office in the Plaza if you arrive during the day or phone her from the UK get No by googling tourist offices

El Refugio is a bit the back of beyond so would not recommend it

Sorry just reread posts re your arrival time try booking by phone or Internet all details on Google

I suppose that could be a problem if you can't drive, but I see where you're coming from
