Smile Can you take food onto the plane?

I'm coming to tenerife this christmas flying with Jet 2 .com.When looking at their website the only food they serve is a sandwich. Are you able to take your own sandwiches etc onto the flight ie home prepared.I am aware of the restrictions on liquids but cant see anything about your own food. Thanks

you can even take liquids as long as it is in seperate containers of 100 cc (1 thenth of a liter) .

I went to the pharmacy bought some 100cc containers and filled them .

No problem i had my alcohol drinks on board and had a good sleep on the aircraft for a few hours then .(doesen`t have to be alcohol ).

It all depends on what you like in your sandwiches, READ THIS and it seems you can't take meat or dairy products out of the UK. We took bacon sandwiches to eat on the plane not knowing about the restrictions and were not stopped, but we did see signs up.
If you eat them on the plane I don't see a problem, but the airport staff only have your word for it that you will not take them with you into another country.

Taking your own Food onto the plane

Hi Jay,
Its Sunnytenerife here, Just to let you know that I have travelled through the UK and Belguim several times this year the last time being in July, and I always take my own food ( I hate the plane food ) I have made chicken, beef, omlettes in sandwiches. I would imagine that kinda breaks the rules But have never had a problem and I eat them on board with no comments at all, Apart from the person sitting next to me saying 'ooh that smells Good '!!!!! So to be honest do it but dont advertise it and ENJOY !!!!
