Question Is there anywhere we can go abseiling or rock climbing in Tenerife?

Can anyone tell me if there is anywhere you can go abseiling or rock climbing in Tenerife? My partner is an abseiler and would like to do some here? If you have prices and phone no.'s or a web link even better.

There are several places; in the south the best places are Jama (Just above Valle de San Lorenzo) and the Barranco above Arico.

There is a Rocodromo (wall?) in a park in La Laguna, free for anyone and there are some great places around La Laguna too.

I'm afraid I have no numbers of clubs or anything. We just go with whoever has the equipment; friends of friends etc.
There is a club in Granadilla, but my brother signed up with them but they let him down a few times, cancelling trips without informing anyone.

If you have the the rope and chapas (sorry - dont know the english word) then I'd be happy to show you a couple of routes. We have harneses and the shoes (in Spanish they are called Cats Feet!!).

Oh - I forgot - if you want one of the best canyoning experiences ever then the barranco next to Masca is fantiastic, so I have heard.

Go with an experienced guide; I have heard that it is quite dangerous if you dont know where you are going.

4-6 hours of abseiling down into rockpools over waterfalls etc.
