2 minutes walk from the office ... and I'd never been!

Italian restaurant that was recommended to me and I have to say that I was stunned.

You will have to book a table - it's ever so busy. As soon as a table is vacated, it's filled again. It's a 'buzzing' sort of place - busy but that creates the atmosphere.

The food is excellent and home made. Nicely presented. The staff are helpful and efficient.

Don't interrupt me when I'm ignoring you!

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

I like the 7 deadly sins - it's a good check list!

Indeed there is some very good restaurants here in Tenerife and some very bad ones too. Mike you seem to have the same taste as i with your selection. This Italian restaurant is a " must " The staff are professional which to me is very important , Prices and quality....fantastic

So food really needs to be bumped up to TEN

Entertainment i´ve left on FIVE. for the imbalance of the food only being FIVE. As the entertainment is only provided as relaxed music. One of Tenerifes high quality restaurants for sure

This is one of my favorites too . When the weather gets hotter theres nothing beats a sunday morning on Las vistas then up to Piccolo for a great lunch .You know the foods always going to be good , i highly recommend for a starter to share " entremeses para 2" , little bit of everything . Pastas and pizzas , all a good ,but save some space for dessert , oh god the Tiramisu , i think its the best ive ever had . But be warned the portion is huge and is plenty to share , so just order 1 and ask for 2 spoons . All washed down with a good bottle of wine and great views of the beach ..........see you there on Sunday !

Disappointing....

I've eaten here once with a group of friends, and I would need some persuading to try it again.

Ambiance: one of many establishments overlooking the sea, it's at the end of a row of places where you can walk along their terraces and jump from bar to restaurant at whim. It's basic stuff; non-descript tables, big umbrellas, so-so chairs, all typical of this kind of establishment, so neither particularly good nor particularly bad. Arriving here in the evening, the music was perhaps a bit overpowering. This is probably to drown out the music of all the other bars along the row. Several times I couldn't hear the person opposite me thanks to the 3 different songs being played around me.

Staff: helpful, courteous, always nearby (it's a small place...!). The staff were the highlight of the evening. Service was prompt, a problem with a dish was fixed quickly and without fuss, and overall they were attentive.

Food: mediocre. I've had better pizza and better pasta elsewhere on the island for less money. This may be the best in Los Cristianos, but I feel it's overpriced for what it is. The large portions do not make up for it - I'd far rather have quality than quantity. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the spectacular Italian food I'd been led to believe it would be. Starters were the high-point. Breads, meats and cheeses all very fresh and tasty.

Overall: if you're in the area, want some ok Italian food and are hungry, then go. If you want a really good Italian meal and don't mind travelling for it, there are better places to eat.

I agree. There's only so much you can eat... would always rather have an outstanding meal rather than a massive portion.

Are you sure you have the correct restaurant ??? as Piccolos is not at the end. But another Italian which is of the same standard as you have explained. I must of eaten there 50 times and never ever had anything less than 100%

Well the menus and the receipt said "Piccolos" so I suspect it was the right one....! It's some time ago so there's a chance my memory of the location is skewed.

It's possible my expectations were too high because it had been talked up by so many people before I went. The starters were great, the pizza and pasta were very far from inedible, but not stunning.

As I said in my review, the food wasn't bad, it just wasn't spectacular, and I didn't feel my experience met the hype or the prices.
