| Vista Mar, Los Abrigos If you like to really taste an exciting variety of fish uncluttered by sauces (supplied separately) then this unpretentious restaurant by the sea is the one for you. You must be brave: discard all but the wine menu and head for the back of the restaurant where a huge open-topped freezer displays its exuberant sea harvest with trays of shiny fresh fish and succulent crustacea. You point and your choices are loaded onto a silver tray: no need to worry about the quantity: your waiter will know exactly how much you will require of each type but there is always a very generous portion! There is an inviting menu but the tapas, also at the back, are innumerable and tempting for those with smaller appetites. Now just indulge in the fresh bread and dips, sip your tipple and gaze dreamily at the soft sea in the picturesque harbour to await your sizzling platter, salad and canarian potatoes. Heaven. Tip: arrive early as the restaurant's popularity means less choice as the evening progresses! |
