The Carvery, Torviscas, Tenerife

I was tipped of about this place by the airtour holiday reps so I thought it must be good it's location is not the best as you have the aquapark right in front of you me and my family went there for the sunday carvery it was absoluetly yummy it is owned and british ran very clean slightly more expensive but you get what you pay for if you do'nt fancy the carvery they also have a different set menu. Also offers a selection of wines & beers

If you have tried the carvery you should try The Forteleza restaurant it is where the torviscas market used to be. The Carvery is great.
My husband works there as the gardner and he looks after the fish and he also has birds there. He sells cockateils as well.

Personally I think the Carvery has gone down hill a little comparing to how it was 4 years ago. In the past it was really busy, lately, you can get a table very easily
Time before last was so dissapointing , Sunday Lunch...no roast potatoes...chips instead !!!
We went at Easter and it was only because our friends wanted to go...it was "OK"...did have roast potatoes though. Was on a Wednesday, and they had some Carvery and all your drinks included for a set price.

Thumbs up good night out

Dont be put off by the fact that im a 62 year old!!! Ive been going to Tenerife for some 15 years and was there last week although you wouldnt have seen me through the clouds!!!
Stayed at Island Village for the sixth time. In previous years we have travelled far and wide to find bars that suit our needs ie a good welcome and some entertainment with a not too wild crowd. The area around Island Village has always disappointed but not this year.
New people have taken over the carvery and bar at this resort and offer good food and entertainment with a fab host for the latter particularly. His name is Mark Jones and as well as being a great singer and compere with an amazing knowledge of music,he makes everyone welcome in a laid back friendly way. Go there if you like karaoke and good cabaret in a clean, well fitted bar away from the hurly burly but still FUN !!!!
A word to the owners...... more publicity for your bar in and around the complex. We found you by accident late one night when we heard Mark singing. Tell people what a good night you offer, your refurbishment is great, keep up the good work!!!
If you read this Mark, thanks for making our week and good luck!!!

Thanks Gaynor, it was a pleasure having you! You must have had plenty to drink, I'm Mark James, not Jones!! Anyway, from myself, Dennis and Lisa and all the staff, we're pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Mark.

I apologise! Seems to be an effect I have on women!! Gaynor stayed at Island Village with her husband and their friends, all from South Wales, and, I'm pleased to say, thoroughly enjoyed themselves during their stay with us. I, myself, have been compereing on the island for 4 years and I tend to keep my head down, but if anyone would like to come up to the Carvery and enjoy the food and entertainment, then all are welcome. As Gaynor says, it's all very informal and laid back. I hope it doesn't sound too much like an advert
