| La Badana, Guargacho, Tenerife My local restaurant La Badana is great. Loved by the locals of the village and many other nationalities especially the Brits. Reasonably priced, great portions and a lovely atmosphere, far out weighs the overpriced restaurants in the tourist areas. Come and give it a try. Everything on the menu can also be ordered for take-away. Favourites include the filet steak of course, fried goats cheese with mojo, miel de palma & green mojo, mmmmmmm. I also love the stroganof! Situated on the right hand side of the main road as you enter Guargacho from Las Chafiras, first complex on your right after the butchers. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 18:00 til late. If you know Guargacho you will probably know the restaurant El Isleņo, this was owned by Richard & Fatima who sold that restaurant but now own and run La Badana. It's non-smoking but you can nip outside for a quick puff if you're a smoker and don't let this put you off giving it a go! If you don't know where Guargacho is, you take the motorway exit for Las Chafiras, keep right, follow the main road that runs beside the motorway to the next junction, turn left here (you have to at the moment due to roadworks), keep on the main road until you hit the village of Guargacho and bingo! There it is on the right before the pet shop! |
