How about some recommendations for Canarian/Spanish Restaurants?

There have been recommendations on here for a lot of reataurants that do mostly English fare, how about some that are typically Canarian/Spanish?

Trying to think where this is in Pueblo Canario as we go to that area regularly for snacks in the bar next to the large perfume shop opposite Oscars.

Please can you tell me exactly where it is there?

Yes Sure,!! ok from Oscars--- its opposite and go down the stairs right to the bottom (its almost underneath Rani Tandoori,) and this is the back entrance to the Restaurant

or from Oscars opposite going Right to the Walkway which slopes to the beach, walk and its on the Left about 1/3 of the way down

Not an easy one to explain though !!!!!

Hope this Helps

Canarian Restaurants

Love the Rodeo in Torviscas-dont know if its rightly called canarian but brilliant place about 16ish euros a head all you can eat sort of place. Get a card on your table when you`ve had enough turn it over. Not for veggies though sorry lots of meat on offer, good salad buffet as well though.

Here's a few to try
El Bodegon in Chigergue (near to where Kirsty lives)
El Aljibe in Playa San Juan
El Jable in San Isidro
Irache Gara in Vera de Erques
El Volante in Los Minores
Las Goteras in Tejina de Guia
El Romero de Chirche, in Chirche funnily enough!
Tasquito de Nino in San Miguel
Viega Bodega in San Miguel

Sorry don't know any good ones in Fish and Chip Land (PDLA)

Thumbs up Canarian/Spanish restaurants

Thanks for the list, we do know a couple of them & how good they are: Irare Guacha & El Volante.

We are certainly going to try the rest.

Rodeo was also mentioned.he food is good, but we find it extremely noisy in there when it is busy: must be the low ceiling!

I can second the Viega Bodega in San Miguel. Went there with hubby last week plus three teenagers. Had a brilliant night, the food was wonderful and the staff a great laugh, especially when you finish your meal and they drag you downstairs to the bar for 'party time' Cuban style. The Cuban barstaff where a scream and I think my daughter and I tried every cocktail that they made us, not that we asked for them but they insisted we tried them. All of the food and god knows how many drinks between five of us came to 130 euros, bargain and great fun

Rincon de Jorge in Guia de Isora gets the thumbs up from my Canarian friends... apparently they do a great Ice Cream desert there too... 'Copa de Fresa', I believe it's called. Not tried it myself yet though...

Irache Gara and Las Goteras are both fab, but apparently a bit on the expensive side (also according to my Canarian friends, however I have always found them quite reasonable... just shows you that the Canarians always expect to pay less than we do!)

I have not tried El Bodegon yet, as I didn't know about it, but now I do, I shall give it a try as it's so close!

Also, El Mirador in Chirche is supposed to be nice.
