| Giulia Mare, CC El Marques, Playa Pariaso, Tenerife What an amazing experience. We could not believe our luck when we found out that the guys that used to own our favourite restaurant in Tenerife had moved from Masca to Playa Paraiso, right next door to us. We went tonight for my Mother's birthday. Starters, Onion soup with a cheese crust, the most amazing garlic soup, seafood soup that was more like a seafood platter and local cheeses that looked bigger than a main course. For mains we had sole which was drizzled with chocolate and strawberry garnish, pork fillet with a fig sauce and lamb shoulder rolled in pine nuts and herbs served with prunes and a prune and wine sauce. We had these served with roast vegetables and poached pears. We could not manage sweets but we had two liqueur coffees each. The second one compliments of the owners. It was not cheap by Tenerife standards but at €126 for four of us was well worth the experience. The service and presentation are first class. The surroundings are amazing. No detail or expense has been spared in setting up this restaurant. Well worth a visit. |
