Olivers is always a place where we as a family eat when out in Los Cristianos as the food and service has always been so good. However, Mum and Dad have just come back and to say they were disappointed would be an understatement. Seems the new owners need to make more of an effort.

Just walked past Oliver's today and noticed there were no menus on display at all (there was last week) the board was completely empty, and there was a for sale sign on the door of the restaurant. Looks like another one's bit the dust!

Not sure why you think that is a reason to smile.

We have eaten there a few times, food was always good as was the service.

I am aware they close on a Monday Doreen but the lockable notice board was stripped of all menus and the "Se Vende" notice on the door did make it look like the "Mary Celeste" I too have had some excellent meals over the last 20 years or so at "Olivers" as the lad I knew in there (whether or not he was "Oliver") was an Hull KR rugby league supporter as opposed to me being a Castleford one! we used to pull each others leg about the scores from times to time, but Ive not seen him for 2 years now

I will have a walk back tomorrow and see!

I think the reason is because when I walked past the other morning the menu had made it's way out of the glass case thing and blew away because of the winds the boards were all over too so maybe they aren't leaving them out when the weather is like it is. Think the for sale sign you saw was for the premises next door called Olimar

Just to confirm, They are still there saw all the fresh shopping being taken in today for tonight's menu so open as usual.

I went past today at about 6pm and there was still no sign of life, no menu's on the board or any "A" boards out. Looking through the bars inside the restaurant, the "Se Vende" sign is now laid down on a table and the freezer appreared to be empty as the lid was wide open and could not be capable of freezing anything etc.

Videomem are we talking about the same restaurant. The one next to Aberdeen Steakhouse. just sounds bizarre what you saw and what I saw.
At 1ish in the afternoon I saw them prepping for last night with food ??
Don't want people to think they are closed down if they are not and vice versa.

We most certainly are talking about the same, could they have been taking items out of the restaurant & not in ? I will pass by again & report!
