Smile Verdes Restaurant, San Eugenio, Tenerife

Thought i'd like to mention one of my favourite restaurants in PDLA, Verdes in San Euegnio.Got to say i've never left there dissapointed, great food, nice ambience and staff that really do try to make your evening a good one.Maybe not the cheapest about, but you do get what you pay for. An added bonus is that it is only 2 mins walk from St Eugins Bar.

no,no......Carlos in Puerto Colon is the Best. the most fabulous food in the world and very big portions. The best restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered a steak in Verdes and thats what I got, no salad or potatoes etc, not good value.
Carlos is about the same price as Verdes but such excellent value for money and they do proper veg, none of this tinned rubbish!! We have been going for 3 years now and never had a bad meal.

I think Geetimuk must have gone to a different Verdes,as all the steaks do indeed come with a side plate with tasty mixed vegetables and potatoes(certainly not tinned)and as for Carlos serving these great big portions, maybe it is to compensate for the lack of Quality.

Let's not start a "back and forward " guys on what is a review thread about Verdes. If you want to talk about Carlos GeetimUK then feel free to start a new review thread on that restaurant.

Verdes? No thanks.....

I know people who LOVE Verdes, but it is the only restaurant in Tenerife we have walked out of because of the appaling service. After a couple of sucessful visits, we went one night and were shoved downstairs, to a table that wasn't even set, and after 20 minutes, we weren't even offered a menu or a drink! My husband is more patient than me, but after 20 mins I decided I was off. I was ready to leave after 10 mins, but didn't want to have a domestic.

Yes they were busy, yes the staff were running around like headless chickens, but there is no need to ignore people. With so many places to eat, you don't have to accept service like that.

Went on 5th July in large party and even though the place was rammed(as usual) not one of us left disapointed.Always been a favourite of mine, and for every one complaint they have they must have another hundred satisfied customers!
