The Dutch owned and run - restaurant Juan Llamas - is probably the best restaurant on the West Coast and definitely the best in Playa la Arena! Don't let the Dutch bit put you off, there are no pickled herrings here, just excellent bistro food at affordable prices. The service and cooking from Carine and Henrik is first class. We have tried most of the menu now and are yet to be disappointed. Just don't go on a Friday - they are closed. You will find it on the Avenida Maritima, up the hill from the beach towards Puerto Santiago, on the right hand side , just before the turing for the Playa La Arena Hotel. (Opposite Safari perfume shop, and next to the now defunt Harrys Sports Bar).
