Thumbs up Sun Inn, Torviscas, Tenerife

English bar / restaurant.

Up the street from the Orlando and Sunterra's Sunset bay.

Well cooked English fare. Gets full of expats, who long for a proper dinner.

Massive servings.

Cheap beer and wine.

Good banter with staff

Pie, fish and chips Sunday roasts, spag bolls, giant york puds with different fillings and much more.

What sets this one from the others is that there are about 5 others all next door to each other in the same place. The Sun inn gets full with Ex-Pats by 7:30 and the others have tables free all night. now that speaks volumes

Once ordered an egg & bacon sarnie from the Original Wigan Pier (on the same row, but the other end) and the chef got it wrong!!! Never been back since. Mind you, the chef might have changed by now, so don't take my word for it.

I went for a job there, and boy are they busy there. I washed up but they didn't take me on for some reason or other, even though I did a good job!!!

You mentioned it is always fuller than other bars on the same strip, and that that speaks volumes... I was just illustrating why.

I've been going to this bar for many years and not once have I had a bad meal. We have recommended it to many people over the years and every one of them just loves the food. Great choice, huge portions and nicely presented.

Try the special salad. Not many people can eat it all. Fish and chips are the best around and the Sunday dinners are first class.
