| Gran Reserva, Faņabe, Tenerife The Gran Reserva menu is more Spanish and Italian than English. They do Pasta dishes, all the varying types of steaks, with different sauces (mexicana, Roquefort etc). Sea food, lamb, (lovely Spanish Lamb Stew), chicken dishes and vegetarian too. They have the best "chips" (not called chips on the menu of course) i have had anywhere. More like deep fried potato wedges with a sprinkling of rock salt. They have kids dishes too, as well as a chefs recommendation section of the menu that includes a "chateaubriand". Very Very nice indeed. This restaurant accepts kids and has high chairs available etc. Its the ambiance (as well as food quality) of this restaurant that's special. The service is good (if a little slow when busy). They have opened another Gran Reserva down on Fanabe prom, which is nowhere near as good. So remember its the one next to Ciao Ciao's and the Sunterra "Royal Beach Club Resort" up on the road, not on the prom. Ciao Ciao's is owned by the same company. Similar menu with more pasta dishes, same chef and kitchen but with a different ambiance... More open and street cafe than the plush gran Reserva next door. Enjoy. |
