K9 volunteer robbed in broad daylight


There are few people on this Island who have not heard of Pat the Cat. The hard working K9 volunteer has been the victim of a robbery by a group of men, who made off with 1,500 euros of hard-earned money raised for the dogs.
Pat appears to have been the victim of a well thought out scam. After carrying out her chores in town, she headed to the supermarket.
“Before going home I decided to get some last minute shopping, so I parked at Hiper Trebol in Adeje. The driver in the car next to me asked the time. ‘About 12.40,’ I said.
When she came out another man told her she had a flat tire, which indeed she did. Twice a ‘man in a car’ called out to her about the tire but she ignored him.
“I decided there and then I did not want to change it and headed off to the garage, which was closed. So I rang Robin and waited for help.
To pass the time she got out of the van and got the jack ready and noticed a black car coming up beside me. Inside were four men of Arabic appearance. They produced a map and she went towards them.
“All of a sudden they seemed to all change places and then they were off”.
At this stage she realised she had been conned and when she got back into the van she discovered that her bag and another jar of money had been taken.
“I feel such a fool that I was an easy push-over, but would warn anyone that, if you get a flat tire, beware and look after your handbag. It was all so carefully planned and efficiently carried out, they must have though it was Christmas”.

Dont know if anyone heard about this but because of what happend the Bar San Juan in Playa San Juan are having a charity event to try and get some of the lost money back for K9, the event will be held on Sunday 9th of march, starts at around 5pm and will go on untill around 10pm with raffles and various fund raising events, entertainment will be provided by Stevie D and myself (Jesse Garon)
plus other artists yet to be confirmed everyone welcome and any donations will be gladly recieved, I will be there from around 5pm untill 10pm then i will have to shoot off to do another charity night previously mentioned on this forum, hope to see some of you there, cheers all the best, Jesse.

I am so sorry for what has happened,its hard enough to raise money for the animal charities,without having it stolen by lowlife it makes me so angry

cant believe someone would stoop so low to steal from a charity ( i mean i know it bad enough to steal as it is but it somehow just feels different) i really hope the night goes well and is a success, unfortunatly i wont be able to go though as it is just a bit far but everyone who does go HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!
