Two men were killed in a traffic accident in southern Tenerife

Two men were killed in a traffic accident yesterday when the vehicle they were travelling in fell down a barranco on a road in southern Tenerife.

The 112 emergency service reported that the vehicle was found this morning in the bottom of the ravine, located on the road between Guia de Isora and Adeje near La Chiquita.

Apparently it was a vehicle belonging to a company. The Civil Guard and the Emergency Department could only certify the death of the two men, once they had reached the area.

I think that this is being reported incorrectly and that the accident happened on the coast road from Adeje towards Playa san Juan.

At 9.30 this morning on the stretch of road before Abama there were a lot of police, a fire engine and a helicopter. Two of the concrete barriers had been demolished and the vehicle seems to have dropped into the barranco.

The incident DID happen on the TF-47, approximately halfway between Abama and Marazul.

The vehicle was a white box van belonging to an industrial laundry. The remains of the vehicle were eventually recovered around 15.30

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

We saw it too. The vehicle had smashed through the concrete barrier and dropped to the bottom of the ravine. We were stuck for 10 mins when the helicopter arrived. Sobering experience.
