A British teenager has gone missing while on holiday in Tenerife, the Foreign Office has said.
The 17-year-old was reported missing after failing to return to his hotel in the resort of Playa de las Americas, in the south of the island.

A newspaper has said the teenager was murdered and his body found on waste ground close to the hotel where he had been staying with friends.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We can confirm a 17-year-old British male went missing in Tenerife on September 4 and we are providing consular assistance."

I hope it was an accidental death, as opposed to anything sinister, as it may make it easier for his family and friends to deal with.

News on the street is, the 17 year old was in the brothel next to YesterYears & Bus Stop causing a scene only a few nights ago. His body had been dumped on the waste land across from these premises. Rumor as it he was possible shot. The 17 year olds friends reportedly got in touch with the British Embassy and his parents are on there way, or could even be here now as i heard about this yesterday when the body was found.

Just read on the internet that a 17 year old boy was missing in Las Americas since Thursday and they've now found a body near the hotel on waste land. What a shame for the family. I hope they find who did this.
