Volunteers clear 100 kilos of beach rubbish in El Medano, Tenerife
The annual clean-up of the beach at El Médano produced a haul of almost 100 kilos of rubbish, according to Granadilla Council.
70 volunteers responded to the call for help last Saturday and combed the beach and shallow parts of the sea for rubbish. In all 120 large bags were filled and taken to the local dump after the 3-hour exercise, which was accompanied by environmental awareness activities organised for children in marquees erected on the beach.

Its time this was done in other tourist parts of Tenerife
ie any waste ground the whole place is becoming a kazzie, I dont know what it is with Canarians they dont seem to see mess,weeds and rubbish....
