Nudism to be banned at la Tejita Beach in El Medano

nudism will be banned from the most part of la tejita

and only be permited in the coves of montaña roja.
the natualist asosiation are obviously opposing it, saying its obserd.

wish i could speak/read spanish at this moment in time!

An association believes it is illegal that they have been prohibited from practising nudism on part of La Tejita Beach.

EFE, The Nudist Association of Tenerife (Naturaten) considers it illegal that the Ayuntamiento de Granadilla has prohibited nudism on part of La Tejita beach because the fundamental rights of individual liberty are violated in the Constitution.

It is expected that the Ayuntamiento will "rectify" and not give "wrong steps".

The councillor for the Environment, Antonio Cabrera, explained that the ordinance affects "only a part of the beach" on the sand and leaves space for the nudists "in the coves".

It added that it is "a good measure" because "it will permit regulation of all the coastal strip" where there is great activity from windsurfers and bathers "above all in summer".

Cabrera assured that the document has been agreed by consensus with various neighborhood collectives and insisted that is not against nudism.

The spokesman of the PSOE in the Ayuntamiento de Granadilla, Jaime González Cejas, said it is "nonsense" and that "the rights of the people should be respected".

Thanks Kirsty, mum and dad have a place just round the corner and it was of interest to me. Must say though won't have to answer any more questions from the kids now when we take a walk to the beach!

i live virtually on la tejita beach and it doesn't bother me or my family if people choose to be clothed or not!!! although i dont go without myself, i say live and let live.

I must admit after living in El Medano for almost 2 years now it doesnt bother me either!

Where ever you go in Tenerife there is always some cove or beach full of nudists

Doesn't bother me or should i say hubby! Its the kids faces and questions that are have to deal with

And when you have a bloke and his misses naked,everything hang out playing football on the beach then it does raise kids eyebrows! Funny thing is they always seem to have there kids with them

Suppose as said live and let live but you can see why some people do want it stopped,why do people need to do that anyway!
