A young Tenerife driver who posted his road racing exploits on the internet faces jail for his reckless driving.

A policeman from Güímar accidentally stumbled across footage of the races which had been taken with the driver's mobile phone and posted on the Youtube website. He recognised the area where the racing, at speeds of almost 100 kmh in a built-up area, had taken place and began to investigate to see if he could track the culprit.

The registration number of other vehicles belonging to friends of the driver eventually led to the latter's arrest earlier this week. He has been charged with a string of motoring offences, including recklessness, speeding and failing to observe stop signs.

i think youtube comes in very handy for the police these days ive heard of others being caught out on youtube aswell.

I think these people should face long bans because the fact that they have put this on Youtube shows they are not mature enough to be driving this potential killing machine.
