Judging by the amount of bookings we have coming in this week, next week and the week after, I think this Easter is going to be a good one!!

I admire your optimism, I however am pessimistic, the visitors may be filling the airport but I fear the all in style of hotel holiday, self catering cheapies with all facilities laid on, cheap supermarket food & drink, DVDs etc. They stop in, the type of tourist coming here generally, this, is killing bars, restaurants etc. plus a number of other contributing factors, one being the total lack of promoting the Canary Islands abroad.

Also one egg does not make an Easter !

I like to think I am an optomistic type and a firm believer in the swings and roundabouts of the tourism industry.

They cant all be stopping in AI`s and self catering cheapies.

I think it's also due to the numbers of privately-owned apartments. These owners, or their tenants, are enjoying their own properties, drinking wine from supermarkets on their own terraces at a fraction of the price served in bars, watching their own TVs through community satellite systems, etc. As I've said before, the type of visitor to Tenerife has changed, and this is one of the effects of that change. It's sad, but necessary. The cream should rise to the top.

I always take a self catering cheapy.. I do this so I am not stuck in, just a bed and a brew in the morning... That way I am not tied to a place that may have bad food and bad entertainment. I like to get out and try different places every time and meet locals aswell as expats and see a bit. All inclusive??? might aswell go to blackpool if all you want is drunk with a load of other drunk brits
