Almost 30 Britons have been detained in Tenerife in connection with timeshare fraud.
Almost 30 Britons have been detained in Playa de las Americas, south Tenerife in connection with what police have described as a massive timeshare fraud.
Unconfirmed reports say the fraud was carried out by a well-organised group which contacted victims of previous timeshare scams on the island and, posing as legal experts, offered to resolve the problems -including registration of properties- in return for sums of between 5000 and 8000 euros. One local paper says the network earned 300,000 euros per month with the operation.

It won't be the ones who should be caught, never is. It'll be the coppers attempt to show the press they're in control. I can't see them getting rid of the big boys as there is too much money involved.
