A man armed with a pistol robbed a branch of the bank CajaCanarias in Alcalá

A man armed with a pistol robbed a branch of the bank CajaCanarias in Alcalá on Tuesday lunchtime and made off with 7,000 euros.

Bank security cameras are being analysed to identify the robber who was wearing jeans, sunglasses and a white cap. According to witnesses he spoke Spanish with a foreign accent, and is thought to be from eastern Europe. To celebrate his haul, he paused in a nearby bar for a drink before running away from the scene.

We've just heard that there was a hold up in the Callao Salvaje branch of Santander the day before yesterday ... also Tuesdsay! Wonder if it was the same bloke.

It's incredible that he stopped in a bar for a drink straight afterwards.

The Callao one explains the Police roadblock in Armenime on Tuesday morning.

€7,000 its not worth the hassle.

What price would you say is 'worth it' to do a robbery??

It'd have to be enough to live off for the rest of your life somewhere like Panama or Thailand...

I was sat outside the bar looking straight at the bank and noticed nothing until my bank manager and the local shop owner KiKo came walking out talking....can you believe it took police 15 minutes to turn up...then the driver of one jumped out of her truck locked it and ran up the hill looking for the thieves...they said there were 3 of them...meanwhile her mate wanted to drive off in it and could not...so had to radio her to come back with the truck keys...what a and everyone was so calm and. they then set up road blocks up. they said they got away with about 3,000 euros but had asked for 30 thousand

I still cannot believe what had happened it was similar to someone having a bag snatched (low key)...not an armed robbery...

On the funny side, they probably went in and asked for 30,000 but were told they would have to book that amount of cash and pick it up the next day...
