Parque Santiago 3 / III Apartments, Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife

Parque Santiago III Apartments

Hi there.

We stayed here in PS3 for two weeks in October. Excellent apartment block. Swimming pool has to be seen to be believed. Absolutely massive. Most of the pool is 1.4 metres deep so this is handy for the non swimmers.

It is a salt water pool, but this doesn't cause any great problems. There are 5 restaurants on the complex ranging from snack food to Chinese, Barbecue, Italian, Pizzeria, basically anything you could want.

The apartment is located directly on the beach promenade, in between a couple of 5 star hotels. It is definately the most upmarket and nicest part of Playa de las Americas. It is only a 15/20 minute walk in either direction to Los Cristianos or the centre of Las Americas. The best beach at Las Vistas in the Los Cristianos direction is only a 5 minute walk away.

The promenade is dotted with bars and restaurants all along both ways so you may be tempted to indulge yourself with a beer or cocktail and watch the waves crashing against the rocks. (I wish I was back there again )

The apartments themselves are fairly well equipped (no electric kettle or microwave) and are cleaned every day. Towels are provided every second day or just ask one of the cleaning ladies if you need more. (Very friendly and helpful).

The pool is cleaned everyday as is the kiddies pool and all the footpaths and walkways. There is a supermarket across the road which sells everything from a needle to an anchor. They also have their own bakery where you can get fresh bread and rolls everyday. Underneath the apartment block there is a shopping center with loads of shops, mostly electrical ("Be warned - know what you are buying"), perfume shops and the usually holiday trinket shops.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at these apartments and would highly recommend them and their location and we are looking forward to returning to Parque Santiago 3 in May 2007 please God.

If you have any questions or want more information please PM me.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stayed at Parque Santiago III for 1 week in May/June 2006.

The apartment was a private apartment booked via the internet, for the not to be sniffed at sum of £650 a week. This is because it has been converted to the absolute highest standard and faces right onto the beach. (I could throw a stone and it would land on the beach).

As for the complex, when you arrive you get pool passes, which are checked so carry them with you to avoid embarassment! These are to stop people just coming in from the beach/shopping arcade and using the facilities.

So, armed with your passes, the sunbeds are free (please take note Parque Santiago I who charge 3 euros a bed). Unfortunately for the kids, the pool attendants take a dim view of inflatables, balls etc, which are confined to the very shallow end of the pool only. The pool is massive and goes all the way to the small cafe that is right on the beach. It is saltwater rather than fresh.

The location of PS3 cannot be beaten. Right on the beach and flanked my the impressive Mare Nostrum Resort. It has a very reasonable supermarket just across the street, beside the Mini Golf. It has its own shopping mall underneath the complex which sells mainly tax free electrical items.

Its around 20 and a bit Euros to get a taxi from/to TFS airport.

I highly recommend this complex, and will be returning to the same apartment in the first two weeks of July 2007 - can't wait!
