The Arona Gran is situated next to the Sunday market. There's a few bars and restaurants around too. Not been in the hotel myself, but looks nice on the outside.

I like this hotel - stayed there twice in 2004 - great views, nice location, but not luxurious. I believe it has changed ownership since then - it has certainly has had an upgrade. Nice terrace area overlooking the promenade and sea. I often go there for a coffee even though not staying.

Great buffet dinner - if you have opted for half board, it is really good value.

I pass it going to Iceland supermarket. Looks nice and quiet. It is next to the sea so should be nice and fresh.
It is approx 15mins walk to the shops and approx 25 mins walk to las americas and is not too hilly. Plenty of restaurants
and pubs nearby. Will suit mature people but not far from the hustle and bustle.

Have stayed twice in Arona Gran, spotlessly clean everywhere. The rooms are of a good size and the views from most balconies are wonderful. Has had a refurb lately, the pool areas are huge. The food is buffet style and of good quality.Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Go for it and enjoy.

Some of my family have stayed in the Arona Gran and while I don't have much info on what they thought, they didn't have a bad word to say about it And believe me, if they had, I would have heard it!

I was there on Monday and its a nice hotel. Lovely reception area and pool area. The "oldies" were doing keep fit in the pool whilst I was having a coffee in the bar. I would have joined in, but I didn´t have my swimwear!

It's now owned by the Spring hotel chain Spring Hoteles: Springhoteles: quality **** hotels in south Tenerife who also own the Vulcano & Bitacora in Las Americas and they always get excellent write ups so you shouldn't have any worries.
