I have never been to Tenerife before and have booked a holiday in September. Tenerife was recommended to me by my Sister and we have booked all inclusive with our kids.

The reviews however about the hotel aren't very good and I am a little concerned. Now we are not the type of people who book a cheap holiday and expect 5 star service and facilities. Our idea of a good holiday is sunshine, a nice pool, nice food and clean room that's it! We can entertain ourselves!

The reviews about this hotel have been awful and I would like someone to reassure me that it is just the minority of English whingers that have made these reviews and that the hotel is fine.

The hotel is Villa Tagoro in Costa Adeje.

Any reassurance would be welcoming although if honestly it is a horrible hotel I would rather be forwarned.

Not all the reviews here are bad, just shows you different strokes for different folks!!

My In laws live near to it and it looks ok from the outside to me, although I've never been in the actual complex.

A lot of it will depend on your attitude I think, if you go with a negative attitude expecting the worst you will probably find it!, but I think that's the same with any complex.

Ive always found reviews not vey balanced and been in the hotels where the reviews were not good and found it not to be the case. The truth is somewhere in the middle and not heard as yet anyone give negative reports about you hotel choice but

I am going in september too first time on plane and first time to tenerife.i am staying at the oasis golf resort and have read some rubbish reveiws too but as you say could be people just winging.we are going all inclusive too.getting nearer now.

Well the reviews on holiday watchdog rage from 1/10 to 10/10, so who do you believe
I take these reviews with a pinch of salt especially the privately owned complexes where in the majority of cases it's the actual owner of the apartment writing the review to publicise the complex.
Go in a positive frame of mind, you'll have a great time.

It is a nice development, with a good pool and garden areas.

I don't know when the reviews were made, but the new shopping centre has been built in front of it. The work started whenever, stopped and then Gomasper bought it out and finished it, so there is the possibility that noise and dirt were a problem.

Some of these apartments have been sold off - mostly on the back blocks that overlook the shopping centre car park.

Many of the apartments still have good views.

Thank you for your responses much appreciated.

We are not critical when we go on holiday like I say as long as the sun shines and the food is nice and we don't have upset tums we are happy!

Shazza don't panic about the plane just take a good book or magazine with you it is worth it when you get out there!

In my opinion its in a good postion,nice shops near by also cinema showing english films occasionally
