I work in the Tenerife Princess with the Thomsons Reps & you surprise me at their attitude, which rep was it?
I suggest you talk to the PR lady Yvonne, she is lovely & will do all she can to help
Jaype
It was a young girl with a pony tail.we have moved to arona gran with no help from thomsans. We did talk to the lady yvonne asked her if she could get us a better room with no avail. We also spoke to the thomsan rep at the office,he also gave us a rude reply. we cant help.Thomsans are not as good as they say.once they have your money thats it.

All I can say to you is, do it yourself. We hav'nt used an agent in 10 years,we save a considerable amount of money doing it that way.I used to think 'what would happen if',but you can cope quite easily with emergencies, get a good insurance, read the small print, then go.I know some people will not agree with me but from my experience we have never had one problem with it.

DIY every time. If you don't need all the whistles and bells of a four star hotel including entertainment every night I vote for self catering and booking flights in plenty of time on the internet. We've been going to Los Cristianos for the last 6 years in November - 2 people, 2 weeks, return flights B/ham, studio apartment, 5th floor, seaside, sea 80 metres away - £760 total including timed airport pickup. Priceless! for everything else there's Mastercard or Nationwide debit card. Admittedly once you are familiar with a place you know where to eat out and the other attractions

Yes I agree too - DIY works very well - although this year we were let down by Airtours with the flight-only we'd booked for Christmas Day - the airport was closed and I didn't find out from them, but from a friend. Lots of phone calls and two letters later I still haven't heard from them, although they have credited the money I'd paid them. In the end I had to book a package. Just compare prices to make sure.
