El Sombrero Hotel, Los Gigantes, Tenerife

hi again,just back from 2 weeks in los gigantes staying at the los gigantes hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it,came back on the friday and booked to go back next year on the following day (think we have the teneerife bug),we are going to try el sombrero apartments in los gigantes next year,has anyone been? sam and mary

Yes, stayed there January 2006. They are lovely apartments/studios, and the owners very helpful. Pool area is great, very clean and a decent sun trap

We had a one bed apartment, despite having booked a studio, nice surprise when we were shown to our apartment. Kitchen has a full oven, kettle and enough cooking implements should you want to cook (we don't, do enough of that at home!!!!). There was no toaster in our apartment, used the grill in the morning for toast

We would definitely stay there again, but have booked to stay at the Barcelo Santiago next January, another place that we highly recommend

thanks very much for your reply lesley,one more question,are the bedrooms fair size?,it sounds as if i am being picky but i have read an article that they are tiny,but in all sincerity the place looks really good and you find some peoples idea of a perfect holiday are totally different from your own,we like to totally relax and forget work,uk weather and anything else back home,sam and mary

Bedroom was a good double size, plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom was HUGE!!!! Large sitting room/dining room and American style kitchen with full size oven and fridge freezer. The safety deposit box is in the lounge, payable seperately (as is the norm when away). There is a good size patio complete with patio table and chairs. We loved it there and would definitely go again
