The Tenerife Forum Photography Thread
I am an avid photographer and I like to think I can take a photo, but being an amateur I feel there is so much more I could do if I knew what I was doing. This thought was initially prompted by Torrentor during a conversation we had, I suddenly came to the conclusion that I was getting valuable information but did not really understand how to apply what was being said.
How about a discussion on photography and those of you with the know-how can help the rest of us can improve our own photography, from composition to light levels or how to take a 360 degree photo. Maybe even critique photos for example I have a couple maybe 3 photos that I think are really good, it would be nice to get a 'professional' opinion and I am sure there would be other members in a similar position.
So to all you photographic 'professionals' are you up for it?
And what about the amateurs is this of interest?

Here's a 360-degree panorama I took yesterday of the 4th hole at the Amarilla golf range. I'm playing there for the first time on Monday, so did a quick photo-recce. It's a bit bigger than Los Palos!
http://www.charcodelvalle.com/webroot/panos/amarilla/
Note: When the page loads, it may ask you to install the 'Quicktime QTVR plugin' - just say 'yes'
I would class myself as a photo dilettante BTW.
edit: welsh - won't be long before our ' SEO mod' changes it to 'The Tenerife Forum photography discussion'

... and being the expert that I am, I will help in any way possible.
Here's an example of my best photo (actually, it doesn't look that bad until you see it larger!)

I'd be really interested in learning about Photoshop too. I have a book but I'm getting nowhere fast with it.

Good photo Torrentor but why take pics of the red tees.... We will be going from the championship tees 50 meters further back...makes it far more fun ...

Look at the ravine on the 5th hole (from the yellow tee)

How the heck am I supposed to reach that green in the distance without losing the ball in the sea?

Do you need all of the features of Photoshop Dave? Or perhaps need it for work?
Otherwise, there are much simpler photo editors around. I use Paint Shop Pro for all my photo-editing.
