Masca hiking trail in Tenerife

i can see many people have driven to masca but thats just the tip of the iceburg. in my opinion, the hiking trail is the best excusion you can go on in tenerfe.

you need to be fit and up for a challenge, walking down is hard but walking up is a killer, i've walked up twice but now i get the boat back!!

the best plan would be to go early to los gigantes and park there, look for a boat excursion shop (down by the harbour) and book the boat to pic u up from masca (10 euros each, last boat 4:30), then get a cab to masca (20 euros) and start your desent! it takes about two hours to reach the lovley secluded beach at the bottom, but the walk itself is breath taking, i cant explain, go and see for yourself!

dont forget your camera, you'll kick yourself if you do..

If anybody wants to to a guided hike they are also availble, these include
the hike down to Masca, boat back to Las Americas and food on the boat.

Maybe another option for the less experienced walkers

Masca Trail

Hi

We were thinking of walking the Maca trail this June but wondered about the state of the bridge since the fire. I have seen some photos and not sure how easy it is the get over this part of the walk.

I read on here that its a good idea to arrange boat from Los Gigantes to pick you up and then take taxi to Masca and thats what we thought of doing - anyone got any other suggestions?

Thanks a lot

Anne

Masca Walk

So can you take the Masca Walk from the village to the coast, and get a boat back?

I have always fancied the walk, but family are not keen on doing both ways, so a down hill walk with a boat trip might appeal to them, if so where can I get info on this please?
