I've just been to the Donkey Safari fun place at San Euengo Alto, and spent 30 mins on a donkey....what a fantastic place!
Loads of animals for the kids to look at, a children's playground, a great place just to relax....and you can go at anytime, but need to book if it's donkey treking. There is NO CHARGE to get in, only a small charge if you go treking.
Don't forget to take some carrots for the donkey called Maria who has just been rescued.
A life changing expperience.

This lady has dedicated her life to donkeys, and just loves them.
I have no connection with the Animal Farm....I'm just a satisfied customer!

Running out of ideas of where to take the kids to let off steam? then head for the Donkey Safari. I have to say that the new Donkey Park at the top of Torviscas is a great mornings activity and at only 12 euros does not break the bank, we took our grandson there today who is 9 and he had a ball, not only on the Donket Safari where Sue makes sure every saddle is on properly, every hat on safely and all the donkeys faces are washed.... before a 40 minute walk through the banana plantations and gardens but there is also a large play area with swings and climbing ropes along with a climbing wall, also rabbits, VERY fat pigs, sheep, goats all sorts of birds, and this little park is growing weekly with new ideas and animals, all on a working farm... there are baby birds hatching and eggs incubating, its such a treat and makes a change from the usual. All the Ducks think the Manager is Dad so, if allowed, will follow him everywhere. We thought it was great and will definately be going back.. Sue also does these Safari's in the afternoon so it will be great for an after school activity. PM me if you want her number.

My kids have some homework for school over the carnaval holidays where they have to draw a picture of an excursion they've been on during the break... so I got thinking... they've been to the Monkey Park a few times now, so we wanted to do something different... Donkey rides!!!
It was fab. The kids (aged 3 & 4) loved it. The Bloke had never even ridden a horse before either, so it was a first for him. I would highly recommend this for something different to do.
Sue was really nice. Chatted all the way round about this and that. The kids had helmets and it was 12€ per donkey... so for 3 donkeys, 36€ (as the little un sat in front of me). I suppose that might be a bit expensive for residents, however you have to take into account that there were two people (Sue and her son) leading us round and it has to make a profit... what with all the donkey food, looking after them, tackle, helmets etc. so we thought it was well worth it for a treat.
We took the kids to see the other animals (sheep, lambs, goats, ducks, horses) too... and found out from Sue that they also cater for kids birthday parties. It's only 6€ per child for a minimum of 15 kids. You bring your own food and have the party in the play area and they are on hand with the donkeys to take all the kids on short rides. We are seriously considering having Alex's 5th birthday there in March if we can get 15 mates to travel down from Chio!
All in all, a great day out. Photos attached.

we've got friends going over to tenerife next week with 5 year old twins and they've asked us for info. so far we've told them about the zoo, lorco park and the money park. this sounds ideal for them. is the contact number 636 526 918 still the same?
