Alto Italian Restaurant, El Mirador, Los Cristianos, Tenerife

Has anyone tried this Italian it is owned by the same people who have Torro Tapas on the same row, the food is brilliant, it has the normal pasta dishes, but soem unusual main course ie black and white which is fillet steak and veal

the portions are plentiful and the place and service is excellent, they do offer you bread rolls then charge you 1.50 which i think is a bit naughty

its well worth a try everything about the palce is nice and relaxing

Tried it in July and to be honest it was OK but nothing special IMO

Not surprised to hear of the connection with Torro as the wine list was the same and the prics extortionate 16 E for a bottle of Vina Sol

Thought the Italian next door was more authentic and better value for money.

I ate there a few weeks ago for the first time. The portions are very large. Unfortunately i will not be going again as they got that busy they took one of our tables away, so we were left with three massive plates and drinks hanging over the edge of our table, which were knocked everytime the staff or customers walked passed. I was so surprised our food did not go on the floor. As more and more people came in, they repositioned the tables and before you knew it, you were all in a line sat next to other customers. It was horrible, you daren't move in case you nudged another customer. In the end we left our food and asked for the bill as we felt very uneased and uncomfortable. It was the first time in my life i felt costraphobic. Like i said the food was nice, just think they were trying to serve more customers than they could accomodate. If it is a big success and they expand to bigger premises then i would eat there again.
