However, the house red was pretty disgusting! Didn't think the service was either good or bad. __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. We had a good meal there though, good service too. Have eaten in Summer Nites a couple of times, wasn't that impressed. Better of sticking with the drink there. __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Did you tell anybody in there that you didn't enjoy your meal and give them a chance to offer redress? We always enjoy our evenings there and find that the staff can't do enough for you. Always pleasant. | | | 26th March 2008, 21:13 | #7 (permalink) | | Regular Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Gender: Posts: 80 | Quote: Originally Posted by moonlighter In that case try the restaurant next door to Summer Nites (Las Pergolas), btw it's owned by the same guy. | The Las Pergolas tries quite hard with atmosphere, service, music and a good selection of quality wines. But it really lets itself down with second rate cooking. The food is mainly cooked from frozen and the microwave is much in evidence. Real pity, because it has a more interesting and modern menu than many UK style restaurants in Tenerife. | | | 27th March 2008, 00:36 | #8 (permalink) | | Moderator Join Date: Nov 2006 Gender: Posts: 2,535 My Mood: | Quote: Originally Posted by Fancyfree50 The Las Pergolas tries quite hard with atmosphere, service, music and a good selection of quality wines. The service is great and the waitresses work really hard and yes the menu is really good, shame about the other problems there though. | | | 27th March 2008, 01:47 | #9 (permalink) | | Regular Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Gender: Posts: 80 | Quote: Originally Posted by andy0210 Sorry but you are wrong about the microwave and frozen food, my wife worked there as a commis chef until February and everything is cooked from fresh on a daily basis.. | Well, I did try to give the benefit of the doubt... | | | 27th March 2008, 10:52 | #10 (permalink) | | Tenerifian Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: East Cleveland Gender: Posts: 184 | I know it sells itself as a Bistro. We had a fair meal in the bar watching the footy one night and the beer and cider was good. The kids left their chicken kievs. I don't think they like deep fried chicken kievs. Partly my fault as I should have asked how they were cooked. __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater.
