Saturday Motown Gold & the 4 Temps.....The best night
It gets very busy from 9 onwards and difficult to get a table.
The resident compere is a great lad called Vinny Love...( his real name )'

Nope but it's Soul In The Sun week this week at The Jungle Bar in Puerto Colon. 300 mad Northern Soul fans from the UK here!!! You can't get into the venue (all entry bands pre-sold in the UK) but Alfie's (I think) across the way is playing fantastic Northern all week. We were there until 3.30am this morning and it was soul heaven!!!!

a mate of mine from birmingham is over at this event sure he was there last year as well

It's about the 11th year I think. It's the 3rd one for us. Sad thing is the "big one" which is 2 weeks in November was moved to Lanzerote last year for the first time. Over the two weeks about 600 come out (most come for one week but a lot for the 2). That used to be here as well. But, hey, guess what? the island is so busy in November (not!) no "resort" would do the organisers a deal to accommodate the event! Hello? 600 people, drinking eating, needing accommodation? In November? I would have thought that was a fantastic opportunity for someone, but apparently not!
I can say though, that it is an absolutely fantastic event for us Northern Soul fans!
There is soul@jazzissimos as well
That's also a great night out - and starts pretty late for the dirty stop outs amongst you all! Not that I am like that
