Just like to say i have been going into bar 39 for a while now and beleive they are suffering with the opening of the new bars esp Taylors lounge,I think theres only so much more of Kracka i can take, bless them they are lovely chaps but the same old jokes and tracks it drives you crazy, the prices in the evening at bar 39 are too much, they need to get there act together
Just an update on this Bar that has been brought to my attention...
Apparently the owner has been made aware of all the comments on this thread and staff have been spoken to about their friendly (or not) attitude and the service/food etc.
Hopefully this should mean that there will be a marked improvement at this establishment from the past reviews, so if anyone has tried it since the previous posts, please post your reviews.
we just got back last friday..in bar 39 most evenings...didnt get to speak to the owner , though he seems very nice, his other half was working one evening, she was very warm and friendly, nice lady..tiger tone is still his usual self, very smiley good with the customers, laura was still there too- i have never seen a more busier barmaid than her, very efficient too!! and the other barman( the good looking muscly one) sorry i dont know your name, but he s lovely too none of them can do enough for you!! unfortunateley i didnt get to eat there but i met people that did-packed during the football(england croatia) where i think loads of people ate, i didnt hear anyone complain! i think as someone else on the forum has said that everyone has an off day and there are a lot of people who cant wait to run something down when this happens, also it has only been open just over a year and fast becoming what i think will be one of the busiest showbars..hope they remember their first and loyal customers!!!all i can suggest is try it and see for yourself...

Hope you had a great holiday and sounds like Bar 39 may have improved again. I certainly hope so as we enjoyed it when we first went and the entertainment is good. Will have to give it another try next time we're over.

Went in Bar 39 last week It has changed completely, entertainment second to none, no longer doea food just concentrates on giving value for moneyt and hours of free caberet and entertainment, all staff changed and all full of smiles. Good on Barry and Liz for turning the place around in to a good all round bar.
