I like those complexes... we were going to buy one of the original Jardin San Miguel before we found the place we're in now. I like the fact that they've gone to the trouble to make them all look a little different, it's an enclosed complex and it looks a little like a venitian village. Good choice!
PS: every time I see your avatar it makes me laugh, as my kids have been watching Nemo every day for the past month and I'm now sick of it! Unfortunately they're not!

Thanks for the compliments, have driven through your area but not explored Tenerife a great deal just fell in Love with the place will have time to do that more when I eventualy get there
I live just up the road, its called Jardines De Abona, the orange and black coloured houses. It is very nice, I have lived in this house for over 2 years now, and find it very central to shops, bars etc

Like Blue Marlin...internet then great personal friends....... we have an apartment on Jardin San Miguel II.
We are absolutely delighted with it after such a long wait to move in and although there are teething problems we think that eventually all will be put right.
We have recently collected our address, which doesn't actually call us 'Las Chafiras' but 'LLano del Camello'. I think it means 'path of the camel'.... say no more! but there may be some history here. I remember the camels many years ago in Puerto de La Cruz before the touristy park in the south... they don't 'arf wobble and smell: terrifying.........but it could be that camels were once used in the dryer south to transport goods to and from the ports.
Expect the whole area is called Las Chafiras but it would be nice to be thought of independently as the attractive, developing area that we are, instead of ' up the hill from the warehouses'.
The latest no-notice community meeting was a shock. No we are not residents but intend to be frequent visitors and there was nothing in the mailbox two weeks ago. The builders have had my email address for over a year and probably Blue Marlin's too. Is it usual for only the residents to hear about community meetings?
Anyway, waiting to return soon to beautiful Tenerife. In the meantime it's great to join this forum.
