Where can I buy a sun canopy in Tenerife & how much will it cost?

Hi

I think we may need to buy a sun canopy for our terrace/patio. We had a huge tree outside which put the patio in the shade all of the time, but it's had some SERIOUS pruning! Which is a good thing. But we are coming out in August and may find it's a bit hot out there! And inside too. So, does anybody know roughly what they cost, I guess it will need to be about 10 - 12 feet long. I've seen the place next to Pino's in Los Cristianos, but never been in for prices.

Have a look at Las Afortunadas at las Chafiras, they have them starting from about 70 euros.

Thanks Brenda. Do they come out and measure, or do you just take your measurements to them? Also, do they fit them and have you any idea how long they take to make? Phew! Sorry, so many questions!

There are various companies that do it. Look in the yellow pages or www.paginasamarillas.es and look for anything that says TOLDO. I know of Toldos Guaza. Also if you live in a community check what colour they allow you to have as normally they like it all to be kept the same. Where I live they have to be yellow and white. They are not cheap either, depends on the size and whether you want it to be electric or manual, don't be suprised if it is around the 450 Euro mark.

The one next to El Pino is called Sol e Sombre, I believe you are on Royal Palm if so he is the one that has fitted most of the blinds, Anne in the owners office will ring him for you.
Price: mine was £220 but that was 10 years ago, so possibly double, but the quality is a lot better than some.

sun blinds

You could try Lourdes on 922 765659. She speaks English and they will come out and measure. They will also make sure they match community colours so you don´t have any problems!

Please could you tell me where El Pino is in Los Cris? I am also looking for a new sun blind. If anyone has the phone number for Sol e Somb it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
